In the run-up to WRF ’09 the two discourses on global resource consumption issues will be reconciled with one another (one among natural scientists and engineers and the other among economists).  Then it will be possible to finalize the declaration.

The World Resources Forum will be held at the Swiss ski resort Davos, the conference venue with the highest elevation in all of Europe. The combination of idyllic Alpine landscape, urban atmosphere and the wide range of services, infrastructure, fine food and activities are unique. The Davos Congress Centre features a well-organized tract of rooms equipped with top-of-the-line presentation technology.

At the WRF '09 an impressive list of international, high-ranking speakers will present during the event. Prior to the WRF '09 different workshops are planned. The programm and speakers list will be published at the beginning of 2009.

The WRF '09 will take place on the third day of the R'09 Twin World Congress. The R'09 will promote innovative technologies and frameworks for resource management to improve material and energy efficiencies in the production, use, and recycling of materials. A video conference will link Switzerland and Japan for the R'09 conference as well as for the World Resources Forum.
