Jun 2011: Draft program of the World Resources Forum 2011
Dear all,
After an intensive review process we are now very pleased to present the draft program of the World Resources Forum, being held in Davos, Switzerland, from September 19-21, 2011 (WRF 2011). You will find the updated schedules of the plenary program and the parallel sessions on our website at www.worldresourcesforum.org/overview-preliminary-program-wrf-2011
They are for your convenience also attached to this email. We ask all authors of accepted presentations to carefully check their name and the title of their presentation and let us know when something needs to be corrected.
We also recommend that you register for the conference as soon as possible, preferably before June 30. Information about the various discounts (including early bird) can be found on our website (see www.worldresourcesforum.org/registration for details). Please be aware that in particular for the packages with congress dinner and Mummenschanz theatre performance places are limited, and are distributed on the basis of "first come first served".
We would like to remind those of you who have not yet submitted their full paper (4-6 pages) or poster presentation (1 page) to please do so as soon as possible. The instructions for oral presenters will be sent out in a few weeks time.
Overall, we are very pleased with this year's program, which includes many high-level keynote speakers from politics, industry and science. Participants will have the choice between no less than 90 oral presentations, divided into 5 main topics, in a format which stimulates dialogue and involvement. Specific workshops will be organised as well, see the website for further details.
If you agree that WRF 2011 promises to be an event which nobody should miss ... then kindly help us spread the word and send this email to your networks or provide a link to our website on your website. If you let us know once you have done so, we will make sure to mention your name and/or organisation.
We all look very much forward to meeting you in Davos in September and will keep you posted about new developments until then.
Best regards,
Prof. Dr. Christian Ludwig, Chair Scientific Committee WRF
Martin Lehmann, Head Operational Team WRF
